Responsible Gaming

Gambling should be entertainment you can afford. For most people it is. For some it stops being that, and the shift is gradual enough to miss from the inside. This page is about the tools we give you and the signs worth watching for.

Six things that are true

  • The house has an edge on every game. Over enough bets, you lose. That is the design, not bad luck.
  • Losses are not “due” to come back. Each spin, hand and race is independent of every one before it.
  • Chasing losses makes them bigger. It is the single most reliable way to turn a bad session into a bad month.
  • No system beats a negative edge. Martingale, Fibonacci and every variant change the shape of the curve, never its direction.
  • Gambling is not income. Anyone selling you a method is selling the method, not the results.
  • Alcohol and tiredness cost money. Both degrade exactly the judgement you need.

Tools in your account

Tool What it does Can it be undone?
Deposit limit Caps what you can deposit per day, week or month Lowering applies at once; raising takes 24 hours
Loss limit Caps net losses in a period Same as above
Session timer Reminds you how long you have played Any time
Reality check Periodic pop-up with time and net result Any time
Time out Locks the account 24 hours to 6 weeks No — it runs its term
Self-exclusion Locks the account 6 months to permanently No

Limits take effect immediately when you tighten them and after a delay when you loosen them. That delay is deliberate — it exists to protect the decision you made calmly from the one you make at 3am.

Warning signs

Any of these is worth taking seriously:

  1. Betting more than you planned, repeatedly.
  2. Chasing losses with bigger stakes.
  3. Borrowing money to gamble, or gambling money meant for something else.
  4. Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
  5. Gambling to escape stress, boredom or low mood.
  6. Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
  7. Missing work, study or family commitments because of it.

Practical habits

  • Set a budget before you open the site, and treat it as spent the moment you deposit.
  • Set a time limit as well as a money limit.
  • Never gamble money you need for rent, food or bills.
  • Take a real break after a big win as well as a big loss — both distort judgement.
  • Keep other things in your week that you look forward to.

Getting help

If gambling has stopped being entertainment, free and confidential help exists in every country we serve. Gamblers Anonymous runs meetings across Vietnam, Thailand and online. GamCare and BeGambleAware offer free counselling and self-assessment tools in English. Our support team can apply a self-exclusion immediately and will not try to talk you out of it.

Under-18s

Gambling by anyone under 18 is prohibited. We verify age at registration and again before any withdrawal. If you share a device with children, use parental control software to block gambling sites — Net Nanny and Qustodio both do this well.

Responsible gaming questions

Can I set a limit immediately?

Yes. Tightening a limit applies instantly. Loosening one takes 24 hours by design.

Can I cancel self-exclusion?

No. Once set it runs its full term. That is what makes it work.

Will you contact me during a self-exclusion?

No marketing of any kind. Only messages legally required about your balance.

Can I get my money back if I have a problem?

Settled bets stand. We will return any unused balance and help you exclude from the site.
