A progressive jackpot is one prize fed by many players. A small slice of every qualifying bet — usually 1% to 3% — goes into a shared pool instead of the paytable. The pool grows until somebody triggers it, then resets to a seed value and starts again.

The four tiers
| Tier | Typical size | Roughly how often |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | 10 – 100 | Several times an hour |
| Minor | 100 – 1,000 | A few times a day |
| Major | 1,000 – 50,000 | Weekly |
| Grand | 50,000 – millions | Weeks to months |
The smaller tiers are what keep a session alive. The Grand is the headline. Both are funded from the same slice of the same bets.
How a jackpot triggers
Three mechanisms cover almost everything on the floor:
- Random trigger. Any spin can win regardless of outcome. Bet size usually scales your chance.
- Symbol collection. Fill a grid in a Hold & Win round. This is the JILI and FA CHAI model.
- Bonus wheel. A feature round opens a wheel with the four tiers on it.
On most progressive games, only a qualifying bet is eligible. Betting below the stated minimum still funds the pool but cannot win it. The figure is in the game info panel — check it before your first spin.
Where to find them
- Slots — the deepest selection, including cross-studio networked pools.
- Fishing — jackpot rooms with boss-kill triggers.
- Arcade — Grand Golden Treasure and Chicken Dash Jackpot.
- Live casino — side bets on baccarat and blackjack feed their own pools.

Jackpot questions
Does a bigger bet improve my odds?
On random-trigger jackpots, usually yes — your chance often scales with stake. On collection and wheel mechanics it only affects whether you qualify at all.
Is a jackpot “due” after a long gap?
No. Triggers are independent events. A pool that has not dropped for three months is no more likely to drop on your next spin than on anyone else’s.
How is a jackpot paid?
Straight to your balance, in full, immediately. There is no instalment schedule.
Do I need a qualifying bet?
On most progressives, yes. The minimum is printed in the game info panel.
