AML Policy

Casinos move money, which makes them a target for people trying to disguise where money came from. This policy sets out what we do about that, and what it means for you as an ordinary player — mostly, that you verify your identity once and we ask occasional questions about unusual activity.

Our obligations

As a licensed operator we are required to identify our customers, monitor transactions, keep records, and report suspicious activity to the relevant authority. These duties sit above our commercial interests: we will refuse business and close accounts where we must, and we cannot always explain why.

Customer due diligence

Before your first withdrawal we verify:

  • Who you are — government photo ID.
  • Where you live — a utility bill or bank statement from the last three months.
  • That the payment method is yours — the name must match the account.

Enhanced checks apply to larger transactions, politically exposed persons, and accounts showing patterns our monitoring flags. In those cases we may ask for source of funds — payslips, a bank statement, a sale contract. It is intrusive and we do not enjoy asking. It is also not optional.

What we monitor

Pattern Why it is flagged
Deposit with little or no play, then withdrawal Using the casino as a transfer service
Structuring — many deposits just under a threshold Deliberate avoidance of reporting limits
Third-party payment methods Funds may not belong to the account holder
Deposits inconsistent with stated income Possible unexplained source
Rapid method switching Obscuring the money trail
Low-risk opposing bets across accounts Laundering through apparently normal play

What this means for you

  1. Use your own payment methods. Third-party deposits are returned and may close the account.
  2. Verify early. Doing it on day one means your first withdrawal is not what triggers the review.
  3. Expect occasional questions. Large or unusual transactions may prompt a request for documents.
  4. Answer promptly. Accounts stay restricted until requested information arrives.

If you play normally and withdraw to a method in your own name, you will likely never hear from this team beyond the initial verification.

Reporting and records

Suspicious activity is reported to the relevant financial intelligence unit. We are legally prohibited from telling you when we file such a report. Records are kept for the period our licence requires, typically five years after an account closes.

Consequences

Where we find money laundering or an attempt at it, we will freeze the account, report it, and cooperate fully with any investigation. Balances derived from criminal activity are not returned.
