Esports markets are younger than traditional sport, and the models pricing them are less mature. For anyone who follows a scene closely, that gap is the opportunity — roster changes and patch notes move real outcomes faster than they move odds.

Markets
| Market | What it is |
|---|---|
| Match winner | Who wins the series |
| Map handicap | Series spread, e.g. -1.5 maps in a Bo3 |
| Map winner | A single map in isolation |
| Total maps | Over/under on series length |
| First blood / first tower | In-map props on LoL and Dota |
| Total kills | Over/under on a map or series |
Three things traditional bettors miss
- Patches change everything. A balance update can invert a team’s form overnight. Pre-patch results are weak evidence for post-patch matches.
- Rosters move constantly. A team is a set of five players, not a brand. Check the lineup on the day, not the logo.
- Online and LAN are different games. Teams that dominate online frequently collapse at an event, and the reverse happens too.
Mobile Legends and Arena of Valor carry the deepest market lists on this site, because they are the two biggest esports in Southeast Asia by a wide margin.

Esports questions
Can I bet live on esports?
Yes, on most major matches, with odds updating between rounds and maps.
What happens if a match is remade?
Affected markets void and stakes return. The series rules are on the bet slip.
Are limits lower than football?
Generally yes, especially on tier-two events and prop markets.
Which game has the best markets?
League of Legends and CS2 have the deepest lists. Mobile Legends has the most regional coverage.
Tournament formats, and what they do to a bet
| Format | What it is | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Bo1 | One map decides it | Highest variance. Favourites lose far more often than their odds suggest they should. |
| Bo3 | First to two maps | The standard. Map handicap markets are built around it. |
| Bo5 | First to three maps | Finals and elimination. Depth of roster and map pool start to decide it. |
| Group stage | Round robin, often Bo1 or Bo2 | Teams rest players and experiment. Form reads badly here. |
| Double elimination | Lower bracket gives a second life | A team can lose early and still win the event, so early results mislead. |
Format is the first thing to check and the thing most often skipped. The same two teams in a Bo1 and a Bo5 are close to two different bets, and the stronger team is much better value in the longer series.
How esports odds get made
Traditional sports have decades of data and a deep betting market that corrects a bad line within minutes. Esports has neither, in most events. Prices lean more heavily on recent results and on a handful of rating systems, and they move when money arrives rather than before it. That is the whole opportunity: a roster change, a patch, or a stand-in announced on social media an hour before the match is information that is sometimes not in the price yet.
- Check the roster on match day. Stand-ins are common and often not reflected in the line.
- Check the patch date. Results from before a major balance patch are weak evidence.
- Check whether it is online or LAN. They select for different things, and some teams are much better at one.
- Check the schedule. A team on its fourth series of the day is not the team that played the first.
Comparing our four books on esports
| Book | Strongest at |
|---|---|
| BTI | LoL and CS2 majors, deepest map and round markets |
| Saba | Mobile Legends, RoV, regional SEA events |
| SportsBook | Dota 2 and Valorant, good live coverage |
| GA28 | Smaller tournaments and qualifiers |
Limits are lower than on football, and they are lowest on exactly the markets where an informed bettor has the most edge. That is not an accident, and it is the main practical constraint on esports betting.
